Occupy Toronto
The News of the Day talks of an attempt to force the Occupy Toronto protestors off of Toronto's property.

Who's property is it? Does it really belong to the Corporation of Toronto? Who makes up the shareholders of the corporation? Is it a privately held corporation or is it held by the public, the people of Toronto?

If the corporation embodies all the people who live in Toronto shouldn't they make the call? But hey, the occupiers are then also owners.

If it is a privately own corporation then who are these few to make and force their by-laws on people acting in their private capacity? Property taxes, parking fees, dog licences, and tickets?
